# Sign in and join your workspace

> Join an invited workspace or create an AMLOK account, use email or a connected sign-in provider, and recover access with the correct email address.

Your AMLOK account identifies you; workspace membership determines which records you can access. Use the email associated with your invitation or existing account so you arrive in the correct organization.

## Join from an invitation

The invitation email says **You have been added to \[workspace name] workspace** and links to your account setup page. Invitations expire after **48 hours**.

**1. Open the invitation link**

Check the workspace and organization named on the page. If the link has expired or was replaced, ask the Owner to resend it and use the newest email.

**2. Set up or sign in to your account**

For a new account, enter your full name, create and confirm a password of at least 12 characters, and review the terms shown on the form. Select **Create password and join**, then sign in as directed.

If you already have an account, select **Sign in to join**. Your existing password stays the same. If you are signed in with a different email, use **Switch account**.

**3. Accept and enter the workspace**

Existing users select **Join workspace** after signing in with the matching email. Confirm that the workspace profile shows the expected workspace before opening records.

An invitation for one workspace does not grant access to every workspace. Organization Owners and existing organization-wide members can have broader access; see [team access](https://docs.amlok.io/console/team.md).

## Create an account without an invitation

Open [Sign up](https://console.amlok.io/sign-up). Choose **Microsoft**, **Google** or **GitHub**, or enter a work email and password and accept the displayed terms. Complete any email-verification or organization-creation step shown before entering the dashboard.

If a colleague has already invited you, use that invitation first. Creating a separate organization is not the same as joining your colleague's workspace.

## Sign in again

Open [Sign in](https://console.amlok.io/sign-in) and use the method associated with your account. Provider buttons are arranged Microsoft, Google and GitHub. Email and password are available below them. If prompted, enter your authenticator code or use a recovery code.

Use **Forgot your password?** to request a password-reset email for an email/password account. Follow the latest reset link and return to sign-in. For a provider sign-in problem, first confirm you selected the intended provider account.

## Update your profile

Open your account menu and choose **Account settings**. Use **Edit name** to change the name shown to teammates. Your personal profile is separate from the organization name and logo. For password, authenticator and session controls, choose **Sign-in and security**; see the [security guide](https://docs.amlok.io/console/security.md).

## If the expected workspace is missing

1. Check the signed-in email in your account settings.
2. Open the workspace profile and check the selected organization.
3. Ask the Owner to confirm your invitation is accepted and grants access to that workspace.
4. Sign out and back in after an access change if the old view persists.

Do not share invitation links, passwords, recovery codes or API keys with support. Send the workspace name and the visible error instead. Contact [support@amlok.io](mailto:support@amlok.io) if you cannot reach the workspace Owner.
