# MX

## Integration approach

MX Connect Widget plus platform APIs for account and transaction data. MX describes US and Canadian account connectivity; validate institutions, business-account support and enabled data products.

## Access and approval

Request API keys and sandbox access through the MX team; arrange production access and product entitlements. Numeric approval ETA not disclosed in reviewed sources.

## Data refresh

**Provider update cadence:** Approximately every 24 hours when background aggregation is enabled.

MX normally performs background aggregation about every 24 hours for eligible members. The source must allow it, and connection state and recent aggregation history affect eligibility.

Foreground aggregation requires the end user to be present. MX does not permit a new aggregation within three hours of a successful one. Disabled users, suspended connections, MFA, and institution restrictions can prevent refreshes.

**AMLOK synchronization:** The enabled refresh mode and schedule are agreed for your connection. Provider timing describes upstream capability; allow for retrieval and processing before changes appear in AMLOK. See [data refresh and freshness](https://docs.amlok.io/integrations/data-refresh.md).
