Integration approach

Plaid Link plus server APIs for US institutions. Transactions, balances, ownership, Assets and Income are available subject to coverage and access. US Plaid Check offers Partner Insights with Prism Data scores/attributes; enable this product separately. Validate institution and business-account coverage.

Access and approval

Full Production: a few business days after company and use-case review, per Plaid; not a guaranteed SLA. Eligible US/CA Trial applications are usually auto-approved; manual-review follow-up is 2–3 business days. Trial is limited; paid products and institution permissions require the relevant access. Plaid Check is excluded from Trial. Documentation availability: Public API reference, SDKs, Link guides, Sandbox and Plaid Check documentation.

Data refresh

Provider update cadence: Typically 1-4 transaction updates per day. Plaid typically checks transactions 1-4 times daily, depending on the institution. The SYNC_UPDATES_AVAILABLE webhook signals changes that can be retrieved with /transactions/sync. On-demand /transactions/refresh requires the separately enabled add-on and supported accounts. Reading cached data does not refresh the bank connection. Timing varies by institution and connection health. AMLOK synchronization: The enabled refresh mode and schedule are agreed for your connection. Provider timing describes upstream capability; allow for retrieval and processing before changes appear in AMLOK. See data refresh and freshness. Provider references: Plaid Transactions API.
